Eileen V. Burtle, age 94, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away on Friday November 28 at Maplewood Assisted Living in Mt. Pleasant.  Eileen was born on July 30, 1920 in Mt. Clemens, Michigan, the daughter of Claude and Emma Wolper Schneider.Eileen married Raymond E. Burtle on June 7, 1941 in Detroit, Michigan.  Mr. Burtle passed away on December 1, 2011.  She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church.  

Funeral services for Eileen will be held on Tuesday, December 2 at 11:30 AM at Zion Lutheran Church, 3401 East River Road, Mt. Pleasant with Pastor Samuel Reith and Pastor Jonathon Bakker officiating.  Interment will be in Memorial Gardens next to her husband.  The family will greet friends at Zion Lutheran Church from 10 until the time of the services.  Memorial contributions are suggested to Zion Lutheran Church or Great Lakes Hospice.  Envelopes are available at the church or Rowley Funeral Home.

Eileen is survived by her daughter and son in law, Claudia and John Schimmelman of Winn; two grandchildren, Jennifer (Jon) Schimmelman-Krueger and Eric (Lori) Schimmelman; and five great grandchildren, Kathryn Krueger, Daniel Krueger, Jamison Krueger, Emily Schimmelman, and Joseph Schimmelman.  She was preceded in death by her parents and seven brothers and sisters.
